Jesus really is inside

The revelation yesterday that one UK church had swiped Intel's "intel inside" concept and turned it to the service of the Lord provoked a veritable mass exodus of emails from El Reg readers.

Most were pointing out that the "jesus inside" gag had been around since, well, let's put it this way: Methuselah himself probably wore a t-shirt bearing some variation on the theme when he was a lad.

We have, however, uncovered astounding evidence that the church in question may, in fact, have official approval from the top for its particular poster campaign. Reader Paul Lomax explains:

After seeing Gareth's response to you regarding the telephone number on the Jesus Inside poster, I thought I'd open the image in photoshop to try and read the number. After opening I spotted a strange pattern emerging, so tried inverting the image to make it clearer.

The darnedest thing appeared which I thought you should see!

Wierd huh?

Epiphany or sophisticated forgery?

Remarkable. Our experts have offered two possible explanations for this "Intel Shroud":
