Ericsson's Saba heads to Indonesia
Makes way for new Aus CEO
The outgoing CEO of Ericsson Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, Sam Saba, will be moving to Asia to take on the role of as President and Director of Ericsson Indonesia within the Southeast Asia and Oceania region.
Saba assumes his new post in February 2012, where he will be driving growth in this emerging market. As a 17 year veteran with the vendor and has previously served in Indonesia and the UAE and is already a member of the leadership team for Ericsson in South East Asia and Oceania.
The Australasian helm will be manned by Ericsson global CTO Hakan Eriksson who will start in February, as previously announced in December.
“Sam has made significant contributions to the Australian, New Zealand and Fiji markets. Under his leadership, we have been able to launch LTE with Telstra, commence roll out of the NBN Co Fixed Wireless Network, and supply fibre cable to Chorus and GPON to Northpower Fibre as part of New Zealand’s Ultra Fast Broadband Network,” said Arun Bansal, President, South East Asia & Oceania. ®
