LG will release its first 3D notebook next month.

The R590 3D uses an unspecified Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia GeFoce GT 335M graphics chip to present stereoscopic 3D images on its passive 15.6in display.

Despite admitting there's a "dearth" of 3D content, LG has nonetheless equipped the laptop with a 3D Blu-ray drive, though since it's only optional, buyers of lesser models will have to make do with the R590's bundled 2D-to-3D conversion software from TriDef.

There's no word yet on pricing. ®
