Google is continuing its efforts to make anonymous posts on its services a thing of the past by forcing customers wishing to leave product reviews on its recently overhauled Android Marketplace online shop - now dubbed Play - to do so with their real name.

When punters attempt to leave reviews for individual products on the site, a message reads:

From now on, reviews you write will be posted publicly using your Google+ name and picture. Your name on previous reviews will appear as 'A Google User'.

It's the latest in a long line of moves Google has made since it decided earlier this year to prevent customers of its products - for example Gmail - using such a service in isolation of other Google stuff they may browse to online.

Google recently did a similar thing with its video-sharing website YouTube, by integrating Google+ IDs into that service. ®
