FalconStor ticks public cloud

FalconStor on-premises FreeStor software product has had public cloud support added, making it a hybrid storage product.

FreeStor has evolved from the original IPStor, a software product that virtualised on-premises storage pools. The hybrid cloud version enables users to add public cloud storage for hybrid cloud storage that can be managed through a single pane of glass. It says this provides the performance and reliability benefits of block-based enterprise storage within a hybrid model at public cloud prices. Falconstor recently cut its effective pricing with primary data copy payment only. ®
