RBS debit card payments have gone utterly TITSUP
POETS day is in danger for those without cash
The Royal Bank of Scotland's debit card system has suffered a TITSUP, that is, total inability to support usual payments.
NatWest has acknowledged the issue, telling complainants: "We're aware of some issues with Debit Card Payments, and are working hard to fix them. Sorry and thanks for your patience."

The Register understands that despite the acknowledgement, which was first made on NatWest's Twitter account shortly after 14:00 BST, RBS staff were first made aware of the issue an hour ago. It is also affecting business customers.
Due to a technical issue with Natwest and their card system we are currently unable to tack card payments online... https://t.co/Antn43KShb— PopTasticUK (@PopTasticUK) October 14, 2016
The Register has contacted NatWest for comment but the company had no immediate response. ®
