RethinkDB closes

MongoDB wannabe RethinkDB will close.

"We worked very hard to make RethinkDB successful, but in spite of all our efforts we were ultimately unable to build a sustainable business," writes founder Slava Akhmechet, who adds that he's trying to figure out how to take the company's code to an open source licence.

Several RethinkDB workers have found a new home at Stripe and Akhmechet suggests that they may end up working on RethinkDB for their new employer. ®
