Seagate Beijing demo

Seagate is showing off its NVMe over Fabrics storage system technology at the Beijing Open Data Centre Summit.

The summit is open today and Seagate will show a range of its SSD and HDD products, such as its 60TB SSD and Nytro brand NVMe flash drives. The NVMe over Fabrics demo will provide millions of IOPs and “extremely low latency storage to host applications. This technology demo utilises Seagate NVMe SSDs, storage systems, and software.” Tony Afshary, Seagate’s director of product marketing and ecosystem solutions for flash products said: “We are committed to offering the best solutions for hyper-scale data centres seeking the latest, fastest, and most sustainable flash technology, that keep our partners and clients at the front of data management.” Seagate has no NVMe over Fabrics storage systems or software publicly available. It looks like they are on their way though. ®
