LG claims freshest Nougat

LG is claiming that its forthcoming V20 smartphone will be the first to ship with the next version of Android, Nougat.

The V20 will land sometime in Q3 2016, and LG says it will be very good at shepherding battery life thanks tooffer the Android 'Doze' feature that puts phones into a mild coma when not in use. Users will also get the opportunity to answer TXT messages within the notifications interface, instead of having to go to all the trouble of opening an app.

Price, specs and exact release date of the V20 have not been revealed. But we do know it will have twin cameras and be optimised for multimedia consumption. ®
