Data protection biz Arcserve fattens exec ranks with 3 new veeps

CA spinout and private equity-owned Arcserve is growing revenues at double digits, and has hired four new execs to sharpen its finance side, spin out more and better products and keep its channel business growing.

Oussama El-Hilali becomes VP of Products, responsible for managing research and development, product strategy and emerging technologies. He is a near-25-year industry veteran with time at EMC, Symantec and cloud-based backup firm Carbonite.

Erica Antony is now the VP for Product Managment, looking after global product planning, pricing strategy, and competitive intelligence. She comes from Veritas and Symantec before that.

Scott Petersen has become the VP for Global Channel and Alliances, coming from Sphere 3D, Tandberg Data, McData and Dell's Bakbone Software.

Darin McAreavey becomes CFO, responsible for optimising Arcserve’s double-digital growth strategy, we're told. However, Bhadresh Sutaria was appointed Arcserve CFO in September 2014 by CEO Mike Crest. He still lists himself as Arcserve CFO on his LinkedIn page.

Arcserve says it now has more than 7,500 global channel partners.

CEO Mike Crest set the bar quite high for his four new hires, saying, in a canned quote: “They each have a proven ability to deliver on hyper growth strategies and exceed high standards for customer-centricity. In combination with their deep industry expertise and our global development initiatives, we are well positioned to have a breakout year.”
