3 'nauts blasted into space

Three international astronauts boarded the Soyuz rocket for a journey to the International Space Station.

Kathleen Rubins (NASA) and Takuya Onishi (Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency), join Anatoly Ivanishin, an experienced cosmonaut for a wild ride into space.

The Soyuz rocket launched at 21:36.41 EDT on Wednesday 02:36 BST on Thursday and will orbit Earth for two days before docking to the ISS on Saturday at 12:12 AM ET (05:12 BST) on Saturday. ®
