Huawei promo photo goof

Huawei has removed a promotional image for its Leica-branded smartphones that was actually shot by a costly professional Canon SLR kit. The Google+ post boasted that, "We managed to catch a beautiful sunrise with Deliciously Ella. The #HuaweiP9’s dual Leica cameras makes taking photos in low light conditions like this a pleasure."

However EXIF data revealed that the promo image was captured by Canon EOS 5D Mark III [£1,900] with the EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens [£1,400], or £3,300 worth of kit, and then processed in Adobe Photoshop. Users discovered the origins of the photo by examining its EXIF metadata. The blurb doesn't explicitly state the example was taken by a Huawei phone, but there's sufficient ambiguity to justify its swift removal.
