Vid: New 'The Office' trailer
A new teaser trailer for forthcoming flick David Brent: Life on The Road has landed on YouTube.
The trailer gives us a hint of the film's content: Brent's left management and office supplies behind to become a singer-songwriter. He has not, however, stopped being an irredeemable and scarcely-tolerated twit incapable of understanding that his constant double entendres titillate nobody and just aren't funny. Ricky Gervais continues to nail his creation's obliviousness to the uncomfortable cringes left in his wake.
The short view we're offered of Brent circa 2016 suggests the film again uses the mockumentary style and that the lot offers a sequel of sorts to The Office. We'll know for sure when the film débuts in the UK come August. ®
