Cisco slides out Python lib

Cisco has quietly opened up some of its Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) interfaces, by way of a Python kit published on Github.

Published under the Apache license, Cisco's Uniq is a Python API client library for its Application Policy Infrastructure Controller Enterprise Module's (APIC-EM) northbound APIs.

The APIC device is the centre-point of ACI: it concentrates automation and management in a single unit for accessing fabric information.

Uniq provides access to APIC-EM's ability to control “network elements, interfaces, and hosts” using HTTP with JSON syntax.

The repo includes post-install tests, and sample scripts demonstrating how to query APIC-EM to discover users and network devices. ®
