SoftLayer prices vSphere

IBM's cloud outfit SoftLayer has outlined the prices it will charge to run vSphere.

The price list is here. Items of interest include “Call us” pricing for VSAN, rather than a listed figure, and US$11/month/CPU for VMware integrated OpenStack.

VMware's banking on SoftLayer to give it the global cloud it decided it could not build itself when it scaled back its ambitions for vCloud Air. ®
