Android Pay debuts in UK

Google has launched its contactless payment service, Android Pay, in the UK.

The service, which uses NFC chips to enable transactions and integrates "everywhere contactless payments are accepted", comes to the UK directly from the US. It arrives with standard industry security measures for contactless payments.
