Virgin's 500k FTTP lines

Virgin Media says it is on track to build 500,000 fibre-to-the-premise connections this year – half of its "Project Lightning" target. So far it has built 250,000.

The announcement was part of Virgin's parent company Liberty Global's first quarter results. During the first three months of the year, Virgin posted sales of £1.18bn, up four per cent on the same period last year. Operating income dropped nine per cent to £89m. ®
