China bans Facebook drink

Facebook has won a trademark case against a firm flogging a "face book" drink in China.

Zhongshan Pearl River Drinks filed its application to label foods and beverages "face book" back in 2011. This applicant has now been told to do one for harming fair market competition.

The decision was handed down by a court in Beijing, where Apple recently lost its right to the iPhone trademark in action against a leather goods business. ®
