Hyundai, Cisco auto tie-up

Driving cars to the internet is Hyundai and Cisco's new joint ambition.

Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins visited Seoul to kick off the relationship, which Hyundai says will see the Korean company focus on in-vehicle networking, leaving connections to the outside world to the Borg.

The two companies are also backing an unnamed South Korean startup to create a test environment for “vehicle simulation” and will also cooperate on vehicle data analysis, and verify new technologies for connected cars. ®
