Clouds get OpenStackier

OpenStack is running around a third more clouds than 12 months ago. The seventh OpenStack Foundation User Survey found 65 per cent of OpenStack deployments are now in production, up 33 per cent compared to a year ago. Standardisation on the “same, open platform and APIs” was given as one of five top considerations with users expressing interest in containers, NFV and bare-metal as emerging technologies on OpenStack. The survey was based on responses from 1,603 community members and 405 deployments. ®
