Google has today released Android N developer preview 2 for people to test drive.
The beta operating system includes support for Vulkan, a low-overhead 3D graphics API that brings developers much closer to the GPU hardware to boost performance. "With Android N, we’ve made Vulkan a part of the platform; you can try it out on supported devices running Developer Preview 2," said Google's Dave Burke, veep of engineering.
Also in preview two: launcher shortcuts, Unicode 9 emojis, API updates and bug fixes. More info and details on how to install it are here. ®
