InfiniFlash speed doubled

SanDisk has doubled its InfiniFlash JBOF (Just a Bunch Of Flash) box’s IO interface speed from 6Gbit/SAS to 12 Gbit/SAS.

The IF100 model now becomes the IF150 and the IF500 is renamed the IF550. Meanwhile the IF700, for some incomprehensible reason, keeps the same name – although it is now based on the IF150 instead of the old IF100. SanDisk InfiniFlash partners, like Nexenta and Tegile, will get the new box.

SanDisk has introduced its FlashStart professional service for InfiniFlash and SanDisk ION Accelerator customers to aid installation and configuration, plus a FlashAssure customer support service. ®
