French mobe repair shop chaps trash customer's phone

Broadcast live vid of outrage, proceed directly to dole queue

Two employees of French telco SFR who last week broadcast a live vid of themselves apparently trashing a difficult customer's mobe are now seeking new jobs after their entertaining footage escaped into the open plains of the internet.

According to this report, the pair at an SFR shop in Villeneuve d'Ascq, in the country's Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, began the video by explaining that the phone was in for repair and the owner had been "breaking our balls". Having first thrown a dummy phone to the floor, by way of damage comparison to prove the main event wasn't faked, they then made merry with the real thing.

The cunning plan was to claim the phone had arrived in its rather sorry final state. The less cunning part of the plan involved broadcasting the event on Periscope, apparently on a public setting rather than for the sole benefit of their mates.

No sooner had the video gone viral than SFR promised the culprits would be "severely punished", and sure enough, they were later issued their marching orders.
