Continuous Lifecycle: We can hardly containerise ourselves

Whether you want to go deep or deeper still...

You can’t deny the explosion of interest in container tech this year, whether or not you believe it is the definitive solution to software, the universe and everything.

So, if you want to get an in-depth introduction to Docker and other flavours, or want to learn how to take your container strategy to the next level, you should really get down to Continuous Lifecycle, which will be running between May 3 and 5.

Containers will be popping up throughout the conference schedule, and as with all our conference sessions, the aim is to take you well beyond the theory and show how practitioners and users are exploiting the technology in the real world.

Pearson’s Chris Jackson will be discussing how the 170 year old education giant is overhauling its infrastructure, with a focus on DevOps and containerized services.

Twistlock’s Dima Stopel will be covering how to manage containers throughout their lifecycle, with a particular emphasis on automating container security.

If you think containers and Microsoft don’t mix, Future Processing’s Michal Dudak will put you right, with an introduction to Docker for Windows that will show you how .NET devs can take advantage of the technology. And yes, you’ll need basic knowledge of the Microsoft software stack.

That's in addition to a slew of sessions covering microservices, continuous delivery and DevOps.

And if that’s not enough for you - and we’re sure it’s not - you can sign up for our Day 3 workshop with Ben Hall, titled: Docker and Container Patterns for Building Production Systems. Ben will take you from designing applications and systems based around containers, through to putting them into production and debugging issues.

The whole event is shaping up to be a cracker, with a diverse lineup of excellent speakers, and an equally broad and highly qualified array of delegates, and The Register and Heise making sure everyone gets the most out of their time at 30 Euston Square. We can’t wait to see you there. ®
