Daisy Group joins Cisco ranks of Gold tier services slingers
Remember that Phoenix IT Group fiasco? No? Oh, good
Daisy Group is positively dripping in Cisco’s top level Gold accreditation, a move we predicted some months back.
The highly acquisitive tech and comms outfit made Phoenix IT Group its latest conquest earlier in the summer and behind the scenes set up talks with Cisco to get the Gold authorisation.
This meant Phoenix was unable to get access to Cisco support, or to sell or service the kit, and left a gaping multi-million pound black hole in the channel firm’s accounts.
The accreditation tops up Daisy’s existing certifications including Cisco Advanced that covers collaboration, data centre services, security, WiFi, and enterprise networks.
The Gold tier means Daisy can task former Phoenix IT Group’s legion of field engineers - and its existing Partner Services team - to provides services on Cisco, including maintenance for SIs, telcos, and resellers of all sizes.
In a customary toasting of the deal, Daisy CEO Neil Muller, said it needs accreditations to up its skills “in line with the dynamics of the converging marketplace”. ®
