A Gameboy the size of a credit card you say? SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! OK, well I can’t review this yet because it hasn’t arrived but it’s included because if it lives up to its billing, then it’s the perfect travelling companion.
Don’t want to rinse the battery playing games on your phone? Don’t worry just whip the Arduboy out your wallet! Download the developer kit to make and share your own game ideas. Also keep an eye out for Smart Boy, that turns your phone into a Gameboy but it's still in development by Hyperkin, so no ETA as of yet. Let’s just say it’s on my Christmas list.

Homido Virtual Reality Headset
After the introduction of Google Cardboard and its wealth of apps and open door to developers, VR is suddenly being promoted as accessible, cheap and cheerful. I recently tried out the Homido – a more expensive headset but with a better field of vision than the Google Cardboard.
I was surprised by its comfortable and slick design, though I can’t imagine wearing any VR headset for extended periods of time. The 360 degree content had me worried for the contents of my stomach especially when switching games.
There’s a continually expanding range of games and apps all of which made excellent use of the head tracking feature. With sturdy dial controls for fiddling with lens to get focus and the strong clip for my iPhone 6 the Homido has great build quality and a nifty case, but there are also cheaper options out there. ®
