Call that a mugshot? Aussie model/fugitive asks rozzers for more flattering pic

You're so vain, you probably think Facebook is about you

Police in the Australian state of Victoria were criticised when they uploaded a mugshot to Facebook, appealing for public assistance to help locate fugitive Daniel Damon.

As sensitive as any artist about his work, the critic was none other than the 25-year-old local man himself, who is wanted for arrest after failing to answer bail for traffic and drug matters.

Seemingly posted from his own Facebook account, Damon responded to the rozzers' request for assistance in locating him by complaining about the mugshot they had used.

"Can you use a better photo tho. This is a horrible mugshot," Damon cheekily wrote.

Forty minutes later came the reply from the police account: "Hi Daniel, please visit your nearest police station and we'll arrange for a new photo to be taken!"

"Yea I plan on it once I get a few things in order," Damon responded. "Just gotta organise myself a lawyer and get everything organised."

Damon stuck around to crack jokes in the comments.

Despite his Facebook banter with the law, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology student fugitive has seemingly not yet been caught, nor has he handed himself in to the police. ®
