You'll NEVER guess who has bought I Taught Taylor Swift How To Give Head dot-com
Haters are gonna hate
In one of the most unlikely but intriguing domain registrations in recent years, pop star Taylor Swift has, it appears, registered ITaughtTaylorSwiftHowToGiveHead.com.
The registration was sparked by Swift's lawyers threatening the owner of ITaughtTaylorSwift.com, run by, um, the man who taught Taylor Swift how to play guitar.
Teacher Ronnie Cremer says he received a letter accusing him of infringing the "Taylor Swift" trademark and demanding he hand over the domain within three days. Cremer says he is innocent of any infringement, and refuses to give in, although he is not out of the woods yet.
The affair appears to have spurred Swift's overzealous team to preemptively register a whole range of other "I Taught Taylor Swift" domains, using the brand-protection company MarkMonitor. Including one about being taught how to give oral sex.
Swift's legal eagles have previously used MarkMonitor to register her domains. MarkMonitor, an American biz, is all about protecting corporate brands, and will not have granted the dot-com to anyone other than Swift's people.
The domain was registered today, quite likely defensively, 24 hours after word spread of Cremer's legal strife.
As for why Taylor Swift's team went with that particular gives-head-dot-com: there is no suggestion of an ex-boyfriend out there ready to testify that those were more than just teardrops on her guitar.
Perhaps the team hoped the registration would remain invisible. There is no web server behind the domain, and we're convinced such a nice, clean, girl at home as our Taylor would not want to branch into more, ahem, adult material.
Perhaps Taylor, 25, is haunted by her past? Did she not know how to breathe while in the moment? Did she forget to keep her eyes open and was forced to begin again?
Or, as is more likely, it is another example of a legal team given too many resources and who should've said no. Like for example, when they registered several of our Taylor's lyrics like This Sick Beat™, Party Like It's 1989™, Cause We Never Go Out of Style™ and perhaps most aptly in this case, Nice to Meet You, Where You Been?™
If Ms Swift is really concerned about people appearing online to explain how they helped her perfect intimate techniques, maybe she should have listened to her own advice and decided just to shake it off? [Please, enough Taylor Swift lyrics – Ed].

We tip our hat to DomainNameWire for spotting the registration. ®
