Maths Gear

RH Numbers

There are lots of cool things on the Maths Gear website, but the solids of constant width (£11) are one of our favourites – check out the video. They're tetrahedronoids, but if you put something on top of them it will roll around just as if it were sitting on ball bearings.

There are also some pretty neat non-transitive dice, and card games too. So, if you're looking for maths or geometry inspired stocking fillers - or even unusual Christmas crackers – we reckon you'll find some perfect gifts here for maths lovers of all ages, and without breaking the bank either.

FUZE T2 Special Edition

RH Numbers

Based on the latest version of the Raspberry Pi, the B+, the T2-SE comes in a sturdy case that's clearly inspired by the BBC Micro. The software package includes FUZE BASIC, and there are project cards to help inspire the recipient with ideas. The case also includes a breadboard to make it easier to create electronics projects that link to the Pi.

If you're feeling really flush, spend an extra £50 to get a robotic arm thrown in as well. Standard case options, for those who aren't swayed by the Beeb colour scheme, are about £50 cheaper.
