DOUBLE BONK: Fanbois catch Apple Pay picking pockets

Users wail as tapcash transactions are duplicated

Tim Cook's dream of bonk-to-pay global domination has taken a serious battering after customers using the new Apple Pay system were double charged.

Fanbois took to Reddit and Twitter after finding their Apple Pay transactions had been duplicated.

Apple said it was aware of "a Bank of America issue impacting a very small number of Apple Pay users".

The Bank of America apologised for the double trouble and claimed 1,000 transactions were duplicated.

"We apologize for this inconvenience and are correcting this issue immediately. All duplicates will be refunded," said spokeswoman Tara Burke.

With more than 500 banks and 22,000 shops signed up in America, Apple has made huge promises about the security and privacy of its bonk-to-pay system, claiming it will "change the way you pay".

Which it certainly has. Apple Pay is so good that you paid them twice. ®
