HP finds role for its ex-networking boss

Barry Bonnett heads network services across EMEA

HP's former UK networking boss Barry Bonnett has made an internal move into the firm's services organisation.

As revealed by El Reg, Bonnett walked away from the upper deck of the networking biz unit after less than a year in charge but was not expected to leave the company completely.

Now it seems that HP is keen to not lose his services and has found a role for him across EMEA.

A spokesman confirmed that Bonnett has "joined HP Enterprise Services as the network services GTM lead, EMEA. Barry’s task is to build the Enterprise Services network services business in concert with the geographic sales teams".

Prior to employment at HP, Bonnett was CEO at Stejac, Nortel president of enterprise for Europe and CEO at BT Media and Broadcast.

HP networking sales director John Ansell took charge of the networking division from the start of this month. He joined HP through the 2001 acquisition of Compaq and has held various enterprise roles during his time at the firm. ®
