This marks the beginning of another new Infosmack podcast, the Infosmack Ringside podcast, hosted by Marc Farley.
His guest on this show is Roger Strukhoff and they talk about the development of cloud infrastructures in China and the unique political and economic forces that are shaping the future of technology in the region.
Everything is different in China, including the role government takes in the technology trade, the popularity of Buick automobiles, data sovereignty issues for cloud computing and the thirst for power to run massive Chinese data centers.
There's even a perspective on government-sponsored hacking, as has been suggested in the recent case of RSA tokens being compromised.
