There are ten built-in presets to help you get started. Most of these need a bit of additional fine-tuning to get decent results, but the ‘small speaker’ preset worked well when listening to music on my iPad’s internal speaker.
You can also save your own custom presets, perhaps having different presets for use with headphones and larger speaker systems.

The app does need a better ‘Undo’ command – it’d be easier to fine-tune your settings if you could step back and undo or redo your most recent tweaks – and it can’t play DRM-protected music tracks, if you have any of these left.
However, EQu has already changed the way that I use my iPad, as I’m now happy to listen to music using just the iPad’s own internal speaker – and that surely is the mark of a good app. ®
