Play DivX and other video formats on your iOS device
The server can convert files on the fly during streaming – a process that worked surprisingly smoothly even on a modestly powered 1.8GHz MacBook. Alternatively, you can convert files on your computer and then transfer the files onto the iPad/iPhone for later viewing. The AirPlay option is also rather neat. I was actually able to stream video from my Mac to my iPad and then onto my HD TV via an AppleTV – which is completely unnecessary really, but impressive in a geeky kind way.
