Bell Micro still working on accounts probe

Results look good though

Bell Micro is still investigating its accounts and restating previous results, but yesterday gave preliminary figures for the third quarter of 2007 ending 30 September.

Revenues for the period were up 30 per cent to between $1.015bn and $1.025bn. Stripping out money made as a result of the takeover of ProSys, revenues grew 17 per cent year-on-year.

North American revenues grew 38 per cent, although most of this was thanks to ProSys. Latin American revenues grew 14 per cent. Europe saw year-on-year revenue growth of 29 per cent - 42 per cent of the company's total revenues. Foreign currency changes helped - removing them means growth of 18 per cent.

The distie said it could not give any further information until the investigation into prior mis-statements was concluded. Bell said: "The company continues to work diligently to complete the restatement of its historical financial statements. As previously disclosed, the company received waivers from its lenders into March, 2008 relating to the filing of financial reports with the SEC and the provision of audited financial reports to the lenders." The whole statement is available here. ®
