US judge allows Rambus evidence inclusion request

While Micron sues Rambus in Italy

Rambus has persuaded a US District Court judge to make public documents it believes provide evidence that a number of memory makers conspired against it. Separately, a new front was opened in the company's war with Micron, with a lawsuit being filed in the Italian court.

Micron took Rambus to court in Italy, claiming the memory technology developer sought a court order to grab from Micron's Avezzano, Italy plant alleged evidence of antitrust activity even though it knew the facility to be out of the court's jurisdiction. Micron alleged the Monza court wouldn't have granted the order if it hadn't relied on Rambus' "abuse" of the legal process.

Micron wants $30m in damages and interest. ®
