Nvidia Q4 figures fail to lift full-year totals

Income halved

Nvidia's fourth quarter saw the graphics chip company make some small gains on previous quarters - yet insufficient to lift the firm's full-year performance ahead of last year's totals.

For the three months to 25 January, Nvidia saw sales total $472.1 million, down a little on the previous quarter's $486.1 million, but up slightly on the $469 million it reported this time last year.

Net income for the period came to $24.2 million (14 cents a share), rather less than the $50.9 million (30 cents a share) earned in the year-ago quarter, but well up on Q3's $6.4 million (four cents a share).

Revenue for the full fiscal year was $1.82 billion, down just under five per cent on last year's $1.91 billion. Net income for the year was $74.4 million (43 cents a share), 18 per cent lower than last year's $90.8 million (54 cents a share). ®
