Sugar advertises for ‘Unrewarded Internet Entrepreneur’

Alan Sugar, British household name and chairman of Viglen Technology, is famously bearish on Internet companies - or at least the valuations placed upon them.

But he could be ready to change his tune, if the job advert placed in last Saturday's FT is anything to go by.

The mercurial businessman is seeking an "unrewarded Internet entrepreneur" to put into action expansion plans for Viglen. These involve "embracing the fast growing Internet sector with a series of new subsidiaries entirely focused on e-business".

Preferably, you'll have been shafted by your current or former employer. You've done all the work and your company has grabbed all the equity.

You "will be able to create, develop and launch new ideas from concept to delivery and ideally will have been involved in the start-up of a successful start up venture... preferably at a senior level or as the founder or their number two... You should also be a recognised 'name' in the industry".

On the table are "impressive rewards (including) a share of the equity". You also get to report directly to the Chairman.
