Tiscali UK has pledged to resolve all its outstanding issues concerning billing complaints before the end of the month.
Speaking on the BBC's Working Lunch programme Tiscali UK ISP director Steve Horle, acknowledged that some customers had suffered problems at the hands of the company's billing process.
He was told of a rack of complaints the programme had received concerning some Tiscali customers not being charged for the service, while others continued to have cash debited from their accounts even though they had cancelled their subscriptions.
"Those people who have been incorrectly billed will be fully refunded," said Mr Horley. However, he said the problems only affected less than half of one per cent of the company's 900,000 customers.
He explained that the company's problem stemmed from Tiscali's acquisition of seven ISPs in the UK. The company is putting all the accounts onto one central database, a process which has thrown up some problems.
However, he said the legacy issue, which affects only a "small number of users" will be resolved very soon. ®
