T-Online ponders porn tie-up
If that's where the money is...
Monster German ISP T-Online is considering providing porn in a bid to boost revenues.
Chairman Thomas Holtrop told the pink paper in Germany: "You can make a lot of money with erotica. It is a lucrative business, which we are examining very closely"
Let's hope he's not examining it too closely - that sort of stuff can make you go blind.
Anyhow, we thought if T-Online can do it, why not other ISPs?
We would have asked Tiscali for their response but they're so slow we couldn't be bothered.
Instead, we spoke to AOL UK. A spokesman there said it was unlikely the giant service provider would get into porn since it "doesn't fit with our family-focused service".
A spokeswoman for Le Freeswerve, on the other hand, failed to rule out whether the UK's biggest French ISPs would get into porn. She said: "We never reveal future plans."
Oooooh, you tease. ®
