Pokemon death threat auction terror

And it's got nothing to do eBay

Published Tuesday 30th May 2000 12:04 GMT

A Pokemon fan received a death threat by email after she bought a card in an Internet auction.

Oona Saunders, 30, from Nottingham, was told that she would be killed if she outbid the sender again, Metro reports.

Saunders paid 17 for the Charizard dragon card on the auction site Collecting Nation, topping the next bidder by 30p.

The death threat came from an American who has now been banned from Collecting Nation.

Saunders, who bought the card for her two sons, said the email has "worried me, but I'm not going to let this stop me completing the set for the boys". ®
