American teenagers sell their souls online

They'll eat your cereal - even if they're not hungry

Published Wednesday 14th March 2001 22:01 GMT

Two toothy US teenagers are planning to pay their way through college by renting themselves out as walking billboards.

Luke McCabe and Chris Barrett have set up a Website touting their services to corporate America - they will stick your logo on their clothes, eat your food, drive your cars, even use your golf clubs, in return for cash to fund their way through the country's pricey education system.

The clean-living New Jersey youngsters say they will promote any company's goods, except tobacco or alcohol, aimed at college-age students - "where we go, you go!" they grin.

Their site includes a visual cyber "tour" of how this would work - for example, they like to travel: "We will fly on your planes. We are always going somewhere" they proclaim in a picture of them boarding a plane. Or on the beach - they are perfectly happy to flaunt logo-clad surfboards on the beaches of Florida. They also promise to read any magazines (even girly ones) in public.

The duo, who aim to study business and marketing, shamelessly promise: "Sponsor us. We will eat your cereal even if we're not hungry!".

They are still in the process of negotiating with potential sponsors.

"We will be great spokesguys for any company that wants to spread the word about their company to college students nationwide," says McCabe.

"Imagine your logo on our hats or shirts as we travel the country being the very first corporate sponsored college students", adds Barrett.

What media-hungry outfit could possibly refuse? ®
