Lab rats do it for cash

Further proof that the Net is full of weirdos, no?

A lesbian ex-nun has become the hot favourite to win £70,000 in the latest fly-on-the-wall social experiment to hit the Net.

Anna Nolan, 29, is one of ten strangers who has been locked in a house complete with 25 cameras and dozens of microphones so that Net voyeurs can satisfy their craving for warts-and-all people gazing.

Predictably, the site has already fallen over as people check out to see the latest action.

The Big Brother experiment is part of a TV programme on Britain's Channel 4 network, but Net peeping Toms and Tinas can view the experiment - which resembles watching laboratory rats in a cage - by checking out a site dedicated to the nine-week show.

As part of the programme the housemates will vote on which of their chums should be ejected until just two are left. Then, it's up to viewers to decide who should stay and walk away with cash jackpot.

Those Net voyeurs who've struggled to see any decent pictures since the test got going can watch an omnibus edition tonight at 9pm on the telly.

Definitely worth sitting on your sofa at home picking your toe nails and inspecting belly button fluff while it's on.

Still, the Register has some investment advice for the extrovert former sister. If she were to win the loot, she could always set up her own dotcom business and cash-in on her new-found media fame. Lesbiannun.com and Exlesbiannun.com are still available... well, for now at least. ®
