The Register has some career advice for those whose GCSE's were not all that they had hoped.

Just follow in LoveBug creator Onel de Guzman's footsteps and you too will be inundated with job offers.

Step One Write a malicious piece of code and release it - accidentally, of course - into the wild.

Step Two Enjoy all the fuss as the world struggles to cope with your worm or virus.

Step Tthree Ensure that once caught, you will be released and that all charges will be dropped.

Step Four Sit back, relax and wait for the job offers to come flooding in.

De Guzman said that he thinks he will stop hacking now after all charges against him were dropped. The Philippines' judical system said it couldn't find anything to charge him with, and his lawyer suggested that the virus could have been transmitted by mistake.

Of the job offers, de Guzman said: "I don't entertain them because my siblings tell me there will be more offers to come." ®
