Cisco Borgs are super frugal

Tight as two coats of paint

Cisco, when not on its Borg like mission to colonise all other networking companies, likes to keep its housekeeping budget in order.

'Don't waste it' is the motto, and the zeal with which it enforces its tight wad approach to business has been spoofed on this Cysco Frugality Program site. It's apparently a big favourite with Borg central staff.

The Cysco Frugality Program includes tips on how to Frugalize Frugally and use the toilet economically.

'Did you know Cysco spends $6 million a year making fancy posters about spending less money?' So 'If we made one less poster per floor on the Cysco campus, Cysco would save $84,000 annually!'

Employees are also asked to cut down on their three toilet trips a day. If they went twice; washed their hands less, or washed only one hand; flushed only when absolutely necessary; and brought their own hand towel into work, Cysco would be looking at real savings.

Visit the site to pick up more sound advice on how to run your business in a cost effective manner. ®
