NTL: Relocated to Mercury?

T&Cs good for a giggle

While flicking through New Scientist today, we found a little gem in their opinion page.

In its User Policy section of the terms of use of the cable modem service, NTL has issued a fairly stern warning about abuse of the service.

We recommend that if you need a little bit of light hearted relief, you click on this link and read point 13.

We've printed it below, but though we should include the link anyway, because we couldn't quite believe it ourselves.

13. ABUSE OF THE SERVICES
You must not disclose your password or user ID to anyone else. Your account can only be used for a single internet session at any one time and for no more than 24 hours in any one day. You may only use the internet Services from the telephone number and home address which you have advised us of when provisioning your account.

The best explanation we can come up with is that NTL has moved the base of operations to another planet with a different rotational period. What colour is the sky on your planet, NTL? ®
