The crisis surrounding e-districtict.net appeared to worsen today after the Times reported that the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has been called in to investigate the irregularities at the British dotcom.

Yesterday, e-district.net confirmed that CEO, Stephen Laitman, had been dismissed amid allegations that he inflated usage and financial figures.

Laitman - who owns almost half of the company - has also been served with a writ for damages and his assets frozen.

Perversely, all this could work in e-district's favour.

With so much interest in the case it just might prompt people to take a look at e-district to see what all the fuss is about. Who knows, if enough people pander to their curiosity, it might even generate the high usage levels allegedly misreported by e-district. Then again... ®
