Wireless Rural Broadband (WRBB) is launching its Sunshine internet access service on September 30. The company is kicking off in East Anglia and the East Midlands and reckons to have full national coverage by the end of 2005.

WRBB is touting for business customers at first but at some point residential subscribers will be welcome too, it says. Claimed line speed for Sunshine is up to 54 Mbs. A virtual leased line service can deliver in multiple of 54Mbs, the firm says. Tariffs start from £10 a month and there are no connection fees. The prices for the WLAN-based service will be determined by data throughput.

WRBB says it will have coverage within 10km of the following areas within three months (this is of course subject to terrain):

• Bingham
  
• Bottesford
  
• Bourne
  
• Elton
  
• Scalford
  
• South Witham
  
• Stamford
  
• Uppingham

The company is taking registrations from July 15 at http://wrbb.net.
It's also on the look-out for local agents. On offer is a 5 per cent referral fee (ex-VAT) for the first six months of each sub they bring in. Also WRBB is offering an additional rate of 2.5 per cent to what it calls Community Advocates. ®
