Sony releases CD-R/RW digital camera150Mb and little movies tooPublished Tuesday 1st May 2001 11:55 GMT
There will be two models - the MVC-CD300 and the less fancy CD200 (basically three million pixels as opposed to two million). Both come with a 3x zoom lens - which is equivalent to 34mm to 102mm for those of you more used to film - and a USB interface. More interestingly, the cameras can also record small action clips. You can store 15 seconds worth of hi-quality footage, 60 seconds on middling quality or 240 seconds at rough-and-ready. The battery will last 75 minutes, Sony says, and can take 800 snaps. ®
