Light-fingered thieves had better watch out next time they jemmy open a window in search of some booty.
An inventor in Thailand has developed a gun-wielding robot that can be controlled via the Net to shoot trespassers.
The sharp-shooting robot was one of a number of machines unveiled yesterday at an exhibition hosted by the Thailand Research Fund.
Inventor, Professor Pitikhet Suraksa, told the Bangkok Post: "The robot is equipped with a camera and sensors that track movement and heat.
"It is armed with a pistol that can be programmed to shoot automatically or wait for a fire order delivered with a password from anywhere through the Internet," he said. ®
